Established in 2006, Zafiros began with a family connection to the hospitality industry. The family were inspired by their grandparents, who owned The Globe in Truro during the 1970s. Hospitality has always been a part of their heritage, and when they couldn’t find a business they felt truly connected to, they made the bold decision to create their own — it has been a central part of our family’s story, even playing a role in the next generation, with one of the owners meeting his wife here.

These premises were once home to a high-end China and glass ware shop, it being the largest in Cornwall. At the heart of everything we do, our motto is, ‘our family looking after your family’. We believe in taking care of your family as we do our own, and we’re passionate about celebrating the local heritage of Truro.

Over the past two decades, we’ve remained dedicated to serving high-quality food with warm, friendly service. But we’ve always been more than just a place to eat — we’ve played a key role in Truro’s nightlife too. Our journey began with owning The Office Nightclub, selling just before the Covid-19 pandemic. Today, we continue to keep the Truro’s weekends alive with late nights at Zafiros every Friday and Saturday.

We are honoured to be part of the Truro community and look forward to continuing to welcome locals and visitors alike for many more years to come.

LARF Cornwall cancer charity aims to improve facilities and increase support for teens and young adults facing cancer.

2,555 teenagers and young adults are diagnosed with cancer every year, that’s 7 every day. With your support, we aim to make a difference. More than 80% of those who are diagnosed beat cancer. Sadly, Lauren and Rosie were not part of that 80% but their positivity and attitude throughout their fight left behind a legacy, and inspired their parents to set up the LARF cancer charity.

LARF, standing for Lauren and Rosie’s Fund, was set up in 2010 by the girls’ parents, who’d met each other throughout their daughters’ treatment. Lauren and Rosie’s friendship and ability to stay positive in the face of adversity led to the parents teaming up to start LARF, not only to honour their memories but also to help those who are in the same situation in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
