About Us

Small Family owned Business in Truro

Established in 2006, Zafiros is a family-run restaurant and late-night bar built on a rich hospitality heritage. Inspired by our grandparents—who ran the historic Globe pub in Truro during the 1970s—we set out to create an independent venue rooted in genuine passion and local tradition. That personal connection remains at the heart of our story, even bringing the next generation together when one of our co-owners met his wife right here.

Located in a landmark historic building that previously housed Cornwall’s largest specialist chinaware and glassware shop, Zafiros proudly celebrates Truro’s local heritage. Guided by our core ethos, “our family looking after your family,”we are dedicated to providing warm, welcoming service and outstanding local food and drink to every guest.

For nearly two decades, Zafiros has been one of the top places to eat in Truro, as well as a cornerstone of the vibrant local nightlife. Whether you are searching for a friendly day-time dining spot or energetic late-night weekend entertainment, we keep Truro’s weekends alive every Friday and Saturday night.

We are honoured to serve the local community and look forward to welcoming residents and visitors to Truro for many years to come.

LARF Cornwall cancer charity aims to improve facilities and increase support for teens and young adults facing cancer.

2,555 teenagers and young adults are diagnosed with cancer every year, that’s 7 every day. With your support, we aim to make a difference. More than 80% of those who are diagnosed beat cancer. Sadly, Lauren and Rosie were not part of that 80% but their positivity and attitude throughout their fight left behind a legacy, and inspired their parents to set up the LARF cancer charity.

LARF, standing for Lauren and Rosie’s Fund, was set up in 2010 by the girls’ parents, who’d met each other throughout their daughters’ treatment. Lauren and Rosie’s friendship and ability to stay positive in the face of adversity led to the parents teaming up to start LARF, not only to honour their memories but also to help those who are in the same situation in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
